Describe for each place briefly how what it means to be a “good man” and a “good woman.” What kinds of forces push people to be “good” at performing their gender roles? What happens to those who do not? What insights do these very different ways of thinking about gender roles and gender performance give us into how 21st century adults in the United States think about gender?
